Peyton's Homecoming

Here is some photo's from the morning of Peyton's Homecoming. She finally got to see the mum all the mom's made for their girls. When I was approached about this I did a silent freak out!!. I had never made one before. I am so craft challenged and Peyton is very well aware of this flaw. I kept it a secret because I knew she would be a little worried how HER mum would turn out. She was so complimentary about my creation. I told her that I had worked really hard to get it perfect for her. When she arrived at school she got to see the locker room that we had decorated. We made little mum's out of crape paper for the lockers and had balloons everywhere to surprise the girls. We had so much fun. It was the first cold game. We had lots of fun freezing in the stands and then all meeting for dinner afterwards. I am sad that the season is coming to an end soon.

Bracken Homecoming

Friday night we all went to the Bracken Christian School Homecoming game and dance. The Warriors won Yeah we are undefeated. Which is pretty exciting since the football program only started 3 years ago. At the end of the game the announcer recognized all the seniors and their families and said a special prayer over them. It was a very crowded game with lots of alumni in attendance. After the game we headed to the gym for some BBQ and dancing. This was a family affair and so much fun. We loved seeing all the kids on the dance floor altogether Pre-K through 12th grade. We even witnessed some administration I am not naming any names line dancing with the kids. I love this school I know I have said that a million times but it has such an incredible balance. We have been to lots of Christian schools and to see so many kids fully embracing the need for boundaries and God's provision for their lives is just only the work of the Holy Spirit. Madeline fully enjoyed herself trying really hard to keep up with everyone else line dancing. Peyton had to show her a few moves. As a mom I loved not having to mess with the whole dress, date, etc. of traditional homecoming.

Peyton's Dance Team/Bracken Vision Night

Well here she is again dancing her heart out. She was so embarrassed that the football boys were watching. But she did a great job. I hope on this one you can tell which one she is. She leads most of the routine so look for that. I was so happy that Madeline made the video. I was in Houston working and really hated to miss Peyton dance. She is beginning to really feel at home here and that make me very happy. She is performing at the PTA meeting tonight and at the open house. We are so proud of our little silver star. Madeline starts conditioning for basketball today at Bracken Christian. She is so ready to play and be part of a team. Honestly I think she is so happy because the boys and girls basketball teams practice together. I will post photo's of the season. Both girls are making new friends. We are so pleased at the friends they are making. If we moved for nothing else than having new friends it was completely worth it. Last Tuesday night Nelson and I went to Bracken Christian School Vision Night. We have been to many like this at other Christian schools, But this was so humbling. Instead of having a bunch of parents talk about how this school is so great etc. instead they had the kids write on a piece of cardboard what Jesus had done for them at Bracken. Then they they flipped it over and said what the result was. WOW was that powerful the entire gym was silent. Of course I was crying through the whole thing watching kid after kid go up on stage most of them high school students and express their appreciation. Just an example was one girl wrote on one side "broken reputation and on the other side she wrote Jesus restored at Bracken", Another was "Drowning in Sin on one side and the other side said Finally Free. Needless to say it was amazing. Our church led the worship time which was so beautiful. The worship pastor has 4 boys at the school. It was just one of those nights that you just had to be there to really get what I am saying.
