The Ninja Turtle Rap Dance

On Thursday night Peyton's Dance team danced to the Ninja turtle rap. All the girls were a little uneasy about the turtle costume but from the stands it looked so cute. Last night they announced the dancer of the week over the loud speaker and guess who it was? Peyton. She was so excited she had to turn and wave to the stands and she did it like a pro. She was grinning all night. The weather was absolutely perfect a little breeze and 75 without a cloud in the sky. Madeline was so proud of her sister. This was the first time to see her perform. I know it is silly but I just cried at the game. I was just so overwhelmed with God's goodness and his faithfulness for me and my family. He does care about our dreams so keep'em coming!!

Peyton's Birthday

I know I am behind this should have been posted last week but Paige misplaced her camera the only one with photo's of the big day. She found it last night thank goodness. So here they are. Peyton invited 2 friends to spend the night. We took them to Red Robin and then to the movies to see Batman. This was her golden birthday so in our family that means you will receive something gold. A golden birthday is the birthday that falls on the same year as your age. We bought her a gold and silver ring from James Avery. It is in the photo it is kinda hard to see but it has a gold heart with a silver band. We had a great time and I still can't believe my baby is 13.

Wow what a night. Peyton performed last night at two football games. This was her first performance and it was flawless. All the girls did an awesome job. All that hard work paid off. Peyton was so excited she smiled through the entire performance. We just loved seeing her face and watching her interact with her new friends. It was the best way to spend my birthday. After the 2 games we went and had pizza with most of the population of Spring Branch Tx. I am hoping to load the video of the performance. So be patient it will be there. I am so bad at taking pictures and my regular photographer was not able to go. Madeline was at a retreat with her school she usually takes all our pictures. She is so good at it.

Madeline and Bracken Christian School

All is right with the world. Well Madeline's world anyway!!! She started Bracken Christian School in Bulverde, TX today. She is so excited to be in a school that is more like her as she describes. We are so grateful for God's provision in this decision. Madeline was able to shadow(which means you get to attend the school for an entire day) BCS last Wednesday. When I picked her up she was happy and said that she loved it!!! I was so glad to finally see my daughter hopeful for her future again. She is going to continue to play basketball and of course tumble in the afternoons so she will be prepared to cheer(her life goal) next year. We had our family interview yesterday with the HS principal. He asked Madeline some very hard questions. She answered them very well in an adult manner. I was so proud of her. I asked how did you learn how to answer questions like that and she said in speech class last year. They learned how to answer questions as if she was in a job interview. She said she just used the same manner. WOW she suprises me everyday. She is maturing into quite a young lady. She says she knows it was God's plan for her to experience Public school here first because now she knows what it is like and is confident that BCS is his plan for her. Nelson and I agree and hated to see her go through all this to be right back where we wanted her to go. I took some great pictures of her in her uniform which by the way she loves. She hated waking up everyday and having to make a fashion statement which clearly this is not a skill she has mastered. A skill Peyton thinks is social suicide if it is not mastered by the 7th grade.

Peyton is dancing at her first football game on Saturday at the HS. She is so excited that it is also her 13th birthday. She has a cheer/dance party to go to that afternoon and then she is having 2 friends spend the night. I can't believe she is 13 where did the time go? :(

I can't seem to find the cord to upload the pictures but when the girls get home they will load them so check back.

Please continue to pray for a church home. We have been visiting Bulverde Baptist the last 2 Sundays. We are trying really hard not to go to church without any expectations of prior Churches we have been members. I learned that lesson the last time around. It is just a difficult thing to do.
